A homage to a successful product, the work of art entitled the “Wind Rose”, located right outside the entrance to the ZIEHL-ABEGG corporate headquarters in Künzelsau, Baden-Württemberg. It shows seven biomimetic axial fans rotating quietly and continually, day and night. The name “wind rose”, so we’ve been told, stems from how this work of art was perceived by its designers who identified a rose in the axial fan and, through the “wind rose”, the ingenious combination of technology and design. At the same time, the seven axial fans used can be seen in abstract form, in the company’s “ZA” logo. The imposing piece was officially unveiled in 2006, in a ceremony attended by high-profile guests.

All year long,

just like of course

09/19 ZIEHL-ABEGG fans are indestructible. Developed with biomimetics in mind, these fans are reliable, virtually silent and at the same time highly efficient. Reducing utility bills and, of course, promoting a life-sustaining environment.

The FE2owlet flagship product

Today we’d like to give you a more detailed introduction to one of ZIEHL-ABEGG’s many flagship products. The world renowned FE2owle axial fan. With its biomimetic, unmistakable characteristic, it provides for precisely the right quality of ventilation or cooling that’s needed millions of times a day around the world, in both outdoor and indoor areas. In this context, its use is focussed on industry; refrigeration and air-handling technology, buildings, energy, plant and machinery and much more. Enhanced with state-of-the-art ECblue motor technology, FE2owlet delivers excellent results, day-in, day-out. The axial fan is part of the “blue technology” category at ZIEHL-ABEGG which is synonymous with maximum high-efficiency levels, extremely low background noise and eco-friendliness, whilst also ensuring energy-efficient operation.

ZIEHL-ABEGG reinvents the axial fan

The fan, also fondly known as the “all-rounder”, is uncomplicated, flexible and bears striking signs of biomimetic characteristics. These are the owl-like vanes that make this fan a very special ‘work of genius’. It’s not for nothing that even to this day its ‘followers’ say that “ZIEHL-ABEGG has reinvented the axial fan”. The amount of development work carried out on the flagship axial fan was immense in every respect – but it was worth it. The successes speak for themselves. FE2owlet swept the global market years ago. The biomimetic high-tech fan has won numerous awards and its first-class motor design – ECblue motor technology – means it can of course be digitally integrated and is 100% ready for the future! For example for the ZAbluegalaxy, the special Cloud for ventilation, control and drive technology. With the 360° view of all processes and products worldwide that this provides for in high-security data rooms, ZIEHL-ABEGG promises its clients new levels of operational excellence, the ultimate in product utilization and the provision of intelligent options for predictive maintenance for delivering even more efficient results, new resources, satisfied clients and increased company profits.
