10/19 The energy-saving, biomimetic and ultra-efficient ZAbluefin centrifugal fan from ZIEHL-ABEGG has won an award in the CO2 Efficiency category
This year, the jury of the MATERIALICA Design + Technology Awards, Munich, presented the prestigious award in the CO2 Efficiency category to the energy-saving, biomimetic and ultra-efficient ZAbluefin centrifugal fan from ZIEHL-ABEGG. The jury was impressed not only with the huge energy savings achieved by the centrifugal fan developed on the basis of results from research into biomimetics, as well as the unrivalled flow-agility design without which this level of sustainability could not be achieved but also, equally, with the blue, recyclable, high-tech composite material ZAmid® used to manufacture the fan in-house at ZIEHL-ABEGG.
The award, which was first presented in 2003 and is aimed at both designers as well as engineers, is seen as a trailblazer for aesthetic, high-functionality design, the development of sustainable materials as well as for innovative technologies. We are delighted to receive this fantastic award for our fan.
