Oliver Vahsen – New Sales Manager Drive Technology at ZIEHL-ABEGG

Dynamic, with technical expertise and extensive experience in sales

The new man in charge of sales in the drive technology division is no newcomer to ZIEHL-ABEGG. Having already worked for the company since 2010 as Area Sales Manager in the Asia, Middle East and Eastern Europe, the qualified engineer successfully served the customers in those regions up to 2015 when he was appointed Global Account Manager at ZIEHL-ABEGG Automotive. The new role he has now taken on as ZIEHL-ABEGG’s Sales Manager Drive Technology has not come about by chance. With his more than 10 years’ sales experience, extensive market knowledge and comprehensive technical know-how, Oliver Vahsen was almost predestined to assume this responsible task. “We value his years of experience and the success he has achieved to date in the company” says CEO Peter Fenkl.

I am looking forward to the new challenge

Oliver Vahsen, 42, brings two completed apprenticeships with him to the role: one, as a refrigeration system technician at the Research Centre Jülich and secondly as an energy electronics specialist at RWE. This was followed by a course in supply technology at the Gelsenkirchen University of Applied Sciences, specialising in building services technology. His new area of responsibility includes electric drives for elevators, CT scanners and underwater robots. “I am now looking forward to shaping all aspects of sales in the drive technology division” says the 42 year-old, commenting on this step in his career.
