Dawn of the new normality

 “Our production lines have never stopped working, nor will they especially now that around the world we are opening up to each other once again”, says Dr. Klaus Weiß, Chief Operations Officer at ZIEHL-ABEGG SE.
According to Dr. Klaus Weiß, thanks to precision and forward-looking production planning at all the company’s production sites worldwide, as well as a range of highly efficient fans, ZIEHL-ABEGG was able to continue servicing the global ventilation technology markets in this current period of crisis. “We are building the best fans for our customers, regardless of external influences,” says Dr. Klaus Weiß with conviction. In fact, even now during this time of crisis, ZIEHL-ABEGG has been able to supply the biomimetically-designed premium efficiency fans which were urgently requested and needed for special medical applications in hospitals and quarantine stations, which, as in the case of China, sprung up ‘almost overnight’ to treat the onslaught of infected corona patients.

The basis for the ability to maintain continuous supply ZIEHL-ABEGG’s production plants is, on the one hand, the fact that the individual components are manufactured in the company’s own plants and, on the other, intelligent production processes whose transparency also means that special fan requirements can be met at short notice. At the same time, innovative production lines, from modern impeller production using high-quality composite materials such as e.g. the ZAmid® technology, to the assembly of the biomimetic design impellers with the high-efficiency, energy-saving ECblue technology motors, plus experienced and specially-trained personnel provide for lean production processes and consequently ensure the company retains its important and long-term profitability.

With ZIEHL-ABEGG products, customers benefit from extensive vertical and horizontal integration which makes the company independent and allows for the option of free and individual planning. The superb coordination of the individual components manufactured in the company, from the control technology developed in-house which is matched precisely to the respective product applications, through to the ZAbluegalaxy digital monitoring centre with cloud-based data rooms for the predictive maintenance of all network-enabled products, providing a permanent 360º overview worldwide. Even at the dawn of a new normality, the ZIEHL-ABEGG product and service offering remains unchanged.

Manufacturing and working in accordance with covid-19 guidelines

ZIEHL-ABEGG
has completely converted the company and all its production plants worldwide over to the new framework conditions to comply with the new working requirements in the wake of the Corona crisis in order to protect all employees. Thanks to the Corona Crisis Team, which had been set up at an early stage under the leadership of CEO Peter Fenkl, all the necessary precautions in accordance with the stipulated guidelines were able to be taken quickly.
