ZAplus Next Generation fan unit receives award
Quiet and efficient ventilation systems are particularly important for operators of supermarkets or industrial re-cooling systems. The ZAplus fan range has been further developed precisely for these applications, achieving significant improvements in energy efficiency and noise reduction. Innovative fan technology: The new ZAplus NextGen fan unit from ZIEHL-ABEGG impresses with bionically optimised blades, reduced noise levels and greater energy efficiency.
ZIEHL-ABEGG convinced the jury in five categories
and thus receives the
prestigious Plus X Award.
Based on bionic findings, the serrated trailing edge of the fan blades was inspired by the silent flight technique of the owl. This reduces air turbulence and therefore noise emissions, resulting in a noise reduction of up to 4 dB(A).
This design also improves energy efficiency: the refined guide vane with 18 instead of 11 struts and the aerodynamically optimised intermediate ring help to reduce energy consumption by up to 9%.
