“There is great demand in Europe for our extra efficient, extremely quiet and sustainable fans for heat pumps”
The new production plant for ZIEHL-ABEGG in Poland gets off to a successful start
“This demand, together with megatrends such as digitization, climate change and urbanization, call for a significant increase in our production capacities,” says Joachim Ley, ZIEHL-ABEGG’s Chief Operating Officer who had travelled to Lodz together with Adam Korzybski, Managing Director of ZIEHL-ABEGG Poland for the ceremonial start of the project.
Setting about major projects, always with the future in mind
Not, as in the conventional way, with the digging of the first turf, but right up high. With the first girder being installed in the hall in the presence of invited guests from the world of local politics and business setting the seal on the start of the new plant in the Southeast of Lodz, Poland.
Investment in the future
ZIEHL-ABEGG is investing in the new production plant where it is intended to start the manufacture of, amongst other things, the new heat pump fan from ZIEHL-ABEGG in autumn 2023 on state-of-the-art production lines, employing work processes geared towards the needs of the future. The newly developed biomimetic, energy-saving axial fan is designed specifically for heat pumps and has been awarded the Premium Efficiency rating.

Biomimetic axial fan FPowlet for extremely quiet heat pumps and to counter rising energy prices
“We are the technology leader in fans which have been optimized with the help of biomimetics,” says Korzybski. This special fan design reduces noise and consequently enables heat pumps to be operated in densely built-up areas. “An additional feature is the low energy requirement,” emphasises the engineer in precision mechanics who has been working for ZIEHL-ABEGG since 1997.
FPowlet axial fan
… has been specially developed for the requirements of air to water heat pumps in residential and commercial buildings. The strengths of the FPowlet are demonstrated to optimum effect in air-cooling heat exchangers that often have to operate in confined installation conditions, achieving extremely low acoustic values even with turbulent inflows.
