Wolfgang Mayer appointed as new CTO at ZIEHL-ABEGG

Effective February 1, 2024, Wolfgang Mayer (50) assumes the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at ZIEHL-ABEGG SE. The newly appointed CTO, chosen by the supervisory board, joins the well-coordinated executive team led by CEO Dr. Marc Wucherer, COO Joachim Ley, and CFO Olaf Kanig. Mayer brings his considerable technical expertise and internationally-oriented knowledge in research and development, specializing in robotics, to complement the existing leadership.
Having been active in various roles since 1996, including R&D Head of Mechanical Development and R&D Director of Platform Mechatronics at KUKA Robotics, and most recently serving as CTO at KUKA Robotics since 2020, Mayer, a diploma mechanical engineer with a passion for “smart product architecture,” has internationalized development activities in Asian, European, and American markets. His appointment represents another significant professional gain for ZIEHL-ABEGG SE as the company strives to innovate for the technology of the future.
