New headquarters with high-tech production plant and hundreds of new jobs

ZIEHL-ABEGG is building a new production and logistics center for biomimetic high-tech fans in the USA

With the official ground-breaking ceremony and an investment of 100 million euros, ZIEHL-ABEGG has begun the largest and most innovative construction project outside Germany in the company’s history. The new plant in the USA will be built about just 20 km away from the existing location in Greensboro, in Winston-Salem/North Carolina.

The project will create production facilities, logistics and administration buildings, with an adjoining research and development center on a site covering an area of 48,500m2. The new headquarters will provide the hub for the production of worldwide successful biomimetic fans in North America and with 11 sales offices will serve the markets in the USA, Mexico and Canada.

According to the ZIEHL-ABEGG management, the orientation of the proposed new production plant will be governed by the stringent criteria of ZIEHL-ABEGG’s extremely high standards of quality, geared towards the needs of the future, based on ZIEHL-ABEGG’s existing state-of-the-art production plants with uniform framework and process conditions
